I don't know what the Sparrow said to the Cardinal but everyone else in the shot sure looked interested!
This bird feeder can get quite busy at certain times of the day, but all seem to get along while they share dinner!
A fun little e-card I made for my youngest grand daughter.
It sure is fun being a grandma - I'm loving it!

Sometimes recycling can be fun and can create whimsical new uses for old discarded items.
I've seen people use all sorts of things for planters, and I've found it quite inspiring. Here an old wood stove gets a third life as a planter with fiery red and purple-pink flowers to simulate flames!
It's second life was as a backyard fireplace that we used for years and recently replaced with an old airtight we can cook on. It's first was as someone's indoor wood stove!
What pleasant surprises we've encountered in the garden over the past week!
Noticed last Saturday - which was 07-07-07 - our garden companion here has been growing and spreading along the fence.
I hope to develop some fun artwork from a series of shots I've taken and see what I might be inspired to create!
With great thanks to our lucky dragon from some very lucky gardeners!

The mystery and possibilities of the space that connects two events has long been honored in the wisdom of traditions of our past. Native traditions of North America, for example, state that two times each day the earth enters into precisely such mystical realms. Both are twilight moments It is during this time, the traditions suggest, that an opening occurs in which profound truths may be realized, deep healings may occur, and prayers have their greatest power. Regardless of scale, between the “beginning” and the “end”, there is a moment in time when neither one has fully happened. That moment is where magic and miracles come from! |
A good swing and a fun game of toss with our dog Keisha on a January afternoon - what a pleasant surprise! If this keeps up I may find myself mowing the lawn, when I would normaly be shoveling snow out of the driveway!
The garden hasn't shown it's having any trouble with this odd weather yet and I have to keep a close eye on things to ensure our more tender perennials are well mulched and not pushing their roots up out of the ground.
Fingers crossed that my grapes and strawberries, raspberries and the apple tree aren't confused and start budding when they should be dormant and waiting for the warmth of March and April to begin their growth cycle anew.
